The Italian Job 2027
We did Monte Carlo. Now we're taking on Turin.
From 20–30 June 2027 we are setting off on an 11-day European banger rally from the UK to Turin and back. The idea is simple: take an inexpensive or older car, join a group of like-minded people and enjoy a memorable road trip across Europe while raising money for charity.
This is not a race. It is a social road adventure built around interesting cars, great roads, shared experiences and the inevitable stories that come from taking budget motors far beyond their normal comfort zone.
What is The Italian Job 2027?
Following the success of Monte Carlo or Bust, we are doing it again with a new destination and a new film-inspired theme. This time the convoy is heading for Turin, with Minis, Italian cars, classics and all manner of old or entertaining bangers welcome to take part.
The current route takes us through Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, with overnight stops including Bastogne, Fort Schoenenbourg, Konstanz, Locarno, Turin, the French Alps, Dijon and Reims before the final run back to Calais.

You do not need rally experience, mechanical expertise or a fast car. The whole point is to take part, enjoy the challenge and be part of the group.
- Couples, friends, families and solo entrants are all welcome.
- Cars should normally be worth £1,000 or less, or be at least 20 years old.
- Minis and Italian cars fit the theme particularly well, but they are not compulsory.
- Decorations, themes and fancy dress are positively encouraged.
Registration & costs
We want to keep the event affordable and straightforward. There is no expensive organised-tour package: participants arrange and pay for their own car, travel, accommodation, fuel and day-to-day costs.
The planned event registration fee for those who decide to take part.
Each participant will be asked to support one of the rally's selected charities.
Buy, borrow or already own a qualifying car. Teams can share a car and split the costs.
Fuel, crossings, hotels, food, insurance, breakdown cover, tolls or vignettes where needed.
Registering your interest is free and does not commit you to taking part. It simply means we can keep you updated as the final route, hotels and event details are confirmed.
What will the trip be like?
The road itself is a major part of the event. We are deliberately looking for interesting routes rather than spending every day on motorways, with the Ardennes, Black Forest area, Switzerland and the Alps all featuring in the current plan.
We travel as a group, help each other when things go wrong, meet up during the day and enjoy the social side of the rally in the evenings. If Monte Carlo or Bust taught us anything, it is that the people and the stories become just as important as the destination.
