How It Works

Each day

Each morning we’ll have an agreed starting point and a planned route to that day’s destination. You can travel with the group, head off independently, or mix the two depending on what you want to do that day.

The convoy

Taking part in the convoy is completely optional. If you want to join it, we’ll set off together in the morning and have a couple of scheduled stops along the route where everyone can regroup, grab a coffee, refuel and catch up.

You’re equally welcome to do your own thing. You might want to visit somewhere that particularly interests you, take a different scenic route, stop for longer somewhere along the way, or meet friends or family who live close to the route. As long as we all end up at the same destination, the day is yours to enjoy in whatever way suits you.

Accommodation

We’ll recommend places to stay at each overnight stop so that people who want to can stay together or nearby. However, there is no requirement to use our recommendations and everyone is free to make their own arrangements.

That might mean a different hotel, an Airbnb, camping, staying with friends or family, or simply finding somewhere that better suits your budget and preferences. Most evenings we’ll aim to suggest an optional group meal or meeting place so everyone has the chance to get together regardless of where they are staying.

If something goes wrong

Something probably will. That’s part of a banger rally. The important thing is that nobody is left behind. We plan to use location sharing so the group can see where other participants are and provide assistance where necessary.
