Minis

Any Mini is welcome. An original classic Mini would obviously be fantastic, but later Minis are equally welcome. Red, white and blue are particularly encouraged.

Cars from the film

The Italian Job offers plenty of inspiration: Minis, Jaguar E-Types, an Aston Martin DB4, Alfa Romeos, Fiat models and, memorably, a Lamborghini Miura.

We don’t necessarily recommend buying a Miura for a banger rally. But we admire the ambition.

Italian cars

Fiats, Alfa Romeos and other Italian machinery are absolutely encouraged.

Bangers

You certainly don’t need a classic car. Part of the spirit is taking something ordinary, inexpensive or slightly ridiculous and turning it into a rally car. Decorate it. Give it a theme. Give your team a name. Fancy dress is positively encouraged.
